What marketing trends do you see in finance?
While principles remain the same there are many shifts in customer acquisition. A few highlights include:
1) Creator-led trust building – customers are looking for real human voices to suggest and validate the brands they trust. We’ve built a full discipline around incorporating UGC and Creator video into paid campaigns. It doesn’t replace branded assets. It’s not influencer marketing. But it does deliver superior return on ad spend.
2) Zero-click content for AI Snippets – customers are turning to ChatGPT and Perplexity more and more to solve their problems. For our financial clients we’re optimizing for AI-first search and answer boxes.
3) Data & Attribution Clarity – our fastest growing team is our Martech and Data team which is helping connect the plumbing between platforms, dashboards and BI tools. This allows for cleaner conclusions. Faster alignment. And far better attribution modeling.
How do you stay ahead of regulatory & compliance?
First we treat compliance as a necessary part of the process. It’s not a blocker, it’s a step to de-risk the brand. In messaging we avoid absolutes such as “guaranteed” and hedge such as “based on past performance.” We implement systematic review and pre-flight checkpoints.
For industry regulation updates, we include these checkpoints as part of our ongoing cadence. For ad platform compliance, we appoint platform intel owners to distribute new guidelines to our team and clients as they are modified. Platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok maintain policy hubs we can refer to proactively to ensure campaigns are not held up at the final stage.
What’s your pricing model?
We believe in starting with quick wins. Once we’ve diagnosed marketing challenges, we map out tiers of service for feedback. We bill on a flat blended rate. Paid media service fee is based on spend (and channels & campaign) tiers rather than percent of spend. We don’t want to incentivize our team to always recommend spending more. In fact, it’s more common for our team to reduce spend by eliminating wasted spend.

We outline a customized 30, 60, 90 day process and deliverables for every client. Steps typically include:
Diagnose, Audit, Propose – Study goals, obstacles, strengths and capabilities. Initial audit of current efforts. Propose customized plan.
Team Intros – Meet point-of-contact and subject matter experts on both teams. Agree on pacing and flow of communication.
